Thoughts of the day
In one of his many insightful aphorisms, Goethe wrote:
"The most foolish of all errors is for clever young men to believe that they forfeit their originality in recognising a truth which has already been recognised by others."
After all, our favourite books and films tend to be the ones that eloquently, masterfully express a truth we always knew but never managed to articulate.
If no idea is original, then what if good ideas alone are not enough? Possessing the mental ability and intellectual freedom to generate ideas is something we are all born with. What tends to make the difference in life is how, and if, we execute any of them.
