Important life events tend to be found in our earlier years - the years of ‘firsts’. First experiences are more memorable, more impressionable, and likely to bring on stronger emotions.
Landmark moments in one’s life are impossible to replicate. It is not about holding on to the feeling, or trying to recreate it, but about embracing it while it’s there.

And it might be useful to remember that, despite any lack of supreme joy, the absence of sadness alone may be enough of a reason to celebrate your good fortunes today.
The ‘Happiness Curve’, shown below, portrays global average life satisfaction by age, claiming that happiness is U-shaped. If you fall somewhere in the middle, you are not alone.
