Thoughts of the day
The modern world has taught us to embrace change, to seek and celebrate it, reminding us that it is an inevitable part of life. Indeed, through change come opportunities, progress, and evolution. The world was never static. Neither are we.
Yet, we often have to deal with change that is unpredictable, uncalled for. Not all change is good, but all change is certain, and some unwanted changes are permanent. We naturally fear change, because it is a threat to us, but when the thing that we feared the most has taken place, we are free.
Similarly, if the world has changed for good, what we can do is learn to see through the cracks of a seeming disaster and into the future. To learn to adapt, and to hope:
“…you have to go with change and crises to come out on the other side. You may not believe that it will ever end. In winter you may not believe that summer will come, but it does.”
