Thoughts of the day
Good morning, and happy Monday.
Victor Frankl once said, “Between the stimulus and the response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”
This morning, Frankl’s words made me think of dancing. The following video by Neels Castillon beautifully captures the sensation of being lost in music, the freedom of choosing our response to the stimulus of sound.
Though most of the physical spaces for the enjoyment of some art forms, or the odd moment of exaltation, are temporarily inaccessible, nature is thankfully (and tragically) still open to us. And, no matter the circumstances that are beyond our control, the freedom of how to respond still remains ours.
