It feels like time is passing at a different speed for all of us. For some, it might even feel as if time has completely come to a halt. Theory of Time, an installation by Indian artist DAKU, captures its elusive passing. The work was set up above an entire street in Panjim, Goa, with people literally walking through it.
It consists of floating text, which contains various phrases:
“Time works wonders”
“Time is an illusion”
“Time is a great teacher”
The nature of the work means that it constantly changes, depending on one’s perspective, and the time of the day it is. It is good to stop and consider how much time has passed, and how much more there is, still, left, depending on how you look at it.
