Thoughts of the day
I often catch myself wondering why anxiety exists, especially now that it has reached a global spread, faster than a virus ever managed.
Although seen as an evil, perhaps our anxiety (not just about falling ill, but in all the forms it manifests in) is just a protection mechanism from something that should be occupying our thoughts, but doesn’t.
“Anxiety is the dizziness of freedom,” said Kierkegaard. A mind that is free to roam may go astray.
What are we free to think about? What should we be thinking about, that we are not? Close to every anxiety lies a revelation about who we really are.
